Purpose

This role supports the overall success of Engineering & Architecture (E&A) globally by contributing to the execution of operational, financial, and vendor management activities that align with the team’s business strategies and objectives. Reporting to the Senior Business Solutions Principal, this role provides day-to-day support for contract renewals, financial tracking, budget activities, and business operations across E&A. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely delivery, accurate reporting, and effective coordination of assigned initiatives. This position contributes to operational efficiency, financial discipline, and effective vendor governance while ensuring activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures

Accountabilities 

Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge 

Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. 
Manage annual hardware and software maintenance contract renewals and track related spend across assigned vendors. 
Work with cross-functional internal teams and vendors to identify requirements, support renewal activities, resolve discrepancies, and identify cost-saving opportunities. 
Maintain and update financial databases, records, and supporting documentation to ensure data accuracy and completeness. 
Support the preparation of the annual operating budget, forecasts, and ongoing financial reporting requirements. 
Prepare reports, summaries, and analysis to support business decisions, planning activities, and operational reviews. 
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support the execution of initiatives, issue resolution, and timely completion of deliverables. 
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. 
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information 

3+ years of related experience in business operations, financial coordination, contract administration, or a similar support function 
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required 
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail 
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills 
Experience supporting budgeting, financial tracking, or vendor management activities is preferred 
Desired Skill – Knowledge of Infrastructure technology and products a plus
