About the Team and the Role:
eBay’s Office of AI Transformation (OAIT) is driving eBay’s reinvention on how work gets done—faster, smarter, and at enterprise scale. We partner across the company to turn AI into a practical advantage by introducing new AI capabilities, standing up agentic-powered workflows, and unlocking new ways of delivering value that were not previously possible.

As eBay’s Director of AI Change Enablement, you will serve as the chief and hands-on leader for the people side of eBay’s AI transformation. Reporting to the VP of the Office of AI Transformation, you will lead the enterprise-wide strategy for helping employees adapt to and thrive in an AI-enabled workplace.
This is a highly strategic, high-impact individual contributor role for a builder who can define the vision for workforce transformation while also executing the programs, communications, workshops, and change initiatives required to bring that vision to life. You will own the strategy for how AI changes work at eBay - including how roles evolve, how teams adapt, how employees build AI fluency, and how the company drives lasting mindset and behavior change at scale.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while also coordinating closely across People, Communications, Global Technology, business units, and transformation teams to ensure employees are supported throughout the evolution to a more AI-augmented workforce.
What You Will Accomplish:
Own and shape the enterprise AI change enablement strategy and roadmap for eBay’s AI-powered workforce transformation.
Define how work, roles, skills, and operating models evolve as AI becomes a core part of how employees collaborate and execute.
Architect the people change strategy for AI adoption across the enterprise, including communications, learning programs, workshops, events, recognition programs, and change campaigns.
Lead the creation of enterprise-wide AI literacy and workforce enablement frameworks that help employees build confidence and fluency with AI tools and workflows.
Develop and drive workshop programs, training experiences, and engagement initiatives designed to help employees adapt to new ways of working.
Create compelling communications and change narratives that address both the opportunities and anxieties associated with AI transformation.
Coordinate AI enablement efforts across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and scalable adoption.
Partner closely with senior leaders and business stakeholders to guide organizational trade-offs and workforce evolution required to scale AI adoption successfully.
Use organizational design methodologies and systems thinking to map future-state roles, capabilities, career paths, and workforce structures for an AI-augmented enterprise.
Build programs and frameworks that encourage mindset shifts, continuous learning, and experimentation across the organization.
Define and measure success metrics tied to adoption, behavior change, AI fluency, engagement, and business impact.
Partner with People, Communications, and Global Technology teams to ensure all enablement efforts align with responsible AI practices and clear employee communication.
Partner with the AI Workflow Transformation Director to translate technical capabilities into human-centered value propositions and identify AI Champions across the organization.
What You Will Bring:
10+ years of experience leading enterprise change management, workforce transformation, organizational development, or digital enablement initiatives within a global organization.
Strong experience driving large-scale behavior and mindset change in complex environments.
Proven ability to operate as a senior strategic individual contributor who can both architect strategy and execute programs directly.
Deep expertise in organizational design and workforce transformation methodologies such as the Star Model, McKinsey 7S, or similar frameworks.
Strong understanding of AI, GenAI, LLMs, and AI governance concepts, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into practical workforce adoption strategies.
Experience building enterprise training programs, workshops, communications strategies, learning frameworks, or employee engagement initiatives from the ground up.
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex AI concepts for broad employee audiences and senior executives alike.
Strong facilitation and influence skills, with experience coordinating across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
A systems-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate how AI impacts workflows, culture, talent, career frameworks, and operating models across the organization.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and independently drive initiatives forward without predefined playbooks.
High emotional intelligence and resilience, with the ability to help employees navigate uncertainty and transform resistance into curiosity and adoption.
Experience within a global technology company or highly matrixed enterprise environment strongly preferred.
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$195,200 - $260,600Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
