
Registered Nurse (RN)- Interventional Radiology St John's
Job Description
Fairview is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Radiology Team at St Johns Hospital in Maplewood,MN.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
Schedule: This position is 0.80 FTE (64 hours per two weeks) 8 hour day shifts with on-call 1 weeknight per pay period and every 10th weekend.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
- Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
- Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
- Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
- Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
- Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
Requirements:
- Current MN RN License
- BLS for healthcare providers
- ACLS
- Must be able to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a page
- Minimum of two years IR, Critical Care Experience (experience with hemodynamic monitoring, advanced airways, vents, critical care drips, IV pressers, and ACLS related drugs) in one or more of the following areas: ICU or ED
- Previous IR/Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Cath Lab experience

- BSN
