Parking and Mobility Planning Consultant - Mid-to-Senior Level

- Leading and supporting a wide range of projects—from mixed-use development projects to strategic master plans, transit operation feasibility plans, micro-mobility plans, and more.

- Actively maintain existing client relationships and assist in new client business development activities.
- Participating in the development of proposals, RFQ/RFP responses, and interview presentations with the support of local and national marketing and technical staff.
- Helping to create and mentor a supportive, warm, motivating, and innovative local office team.
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships within the local industry and promoting Walker as the region’s consultant of choice.
- Managing parking and mobility projects for public sector and private sector clients, such as supply and demand analysis, operational analyses, master plans, implementation and action plans, and more.
- Effectively communicating and connecting with a broad range of clients and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
- Lending skill and expertise as needed on projects, with a focus on mobility planning, parking, and curbside management, operations, and technology, data collection, and analysis.
- Leading and/or supporting community engagement, awareness, and collaboration efforts in line with our national community engagement policies and practices.
- Preparing and presenting technical reports, memos, presentations, and other documents in a way that represents our work well and is digestible to a wide range of audiences, from CEOs and City Councils to student groups and immigrant communities.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in parking, mobility, curbside, or transportation planning, including project management experience.
- 3+ years in a consulting or professional services environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in urban planning or policy, engineering, or a related planning field.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining existing client relationships and supporting new client business development efforts.
- Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel within the Carolinas (up to ~30%, varying by project phase).
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience managing projects and/or studies in the East Coast Region.
- 3+ years of experience at a consulting or professional services firm in the East Coast Region.
- An advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in urban planning or policy, engineering, or a related planning field.
