- Maintain accuracy and completeness of data within credit systems throughout the assessment lifecycle. This includes updating credit ratings, setting open credit lines, and effectively communicating outcomes to key stakeholders, particularly Commercial Credit Managers and business partners.
- Support the commercial teams by providing guidance on credit policy interpretation and reinforcing sound credit management principles. Stay informed on business developments by engaging with sales teams and leveraging industry insights and market intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with counterparties, customers, and external financial institutions to uphold Shell’s professional reputation and external engagement standards.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn and navigate various trading and credit systems.
- Develop a strong understanding of commercial drivers and contribute to evaluating transaction-related risks, with the ability to recognize and escalate issues when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Credit, KYC, Trade Finance, and Receivables, to stay aligned on emerging risks and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Exhibit adaptability in a dynamic Global Credit environment, balancing long-term organizational priorities with the immediate needs of the business.
What you bring
- Preferably with relevant experience in finance, credit analysis, or prior exposure within a corporate environment, particularly in trading or credit-related functions.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to interpret and analyze counterparty financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to continuous learning, enabling effective support of the credit assessment process and delivery of insightful customer analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
- Open-minded and adaptable, with the ability to consider diverse perspectives across different businesses and geographies, and to reprioritize tasks when needed.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working in a global organization and/or a virtual, cross-functional environment is an advantage.
