The VP, Enterprise Execution & Strategy is an execution partner to the Chief Strategy & Operations Officer (CSOO), supporting the delivery of the firm’s most important operating, enablement, and transformation initiatives, while also providing flexible support across select CSOO priorities. The role focuses on firmwide execution (excluding direct investment and sales decisions) across initiatives that enable the firm to invest and raise capital effectively. This includes partnering across Data & Technology, Investments, Distribution, Operations, HR, Finance, and other core functions. The VP will collaborate closely with the CSOO and business leaders to translate priorities into action, coordinate across teams, and ensure strategic initiatives move forward in a structured and disciplined way.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Enterprise Execution & Governance:
- Support the CSOO in translating firm goals and priorities into clear execution plans, roadmaps, and sequencing
- Support the firm’s enterprise execution and prioritization forum, (Operational Transformation Steering Committee, or OT SteerCo), including agenda setting, materials, decision tracking and follow‑through
- Serve as the central intake point for new cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring alignment to firm priorities before work begins
- Partner with initiative sponsors and stakeholders to define scope, timelines, ownership, and success measures
- Coordinate across business units to manage dependencies, timelines, and capacity constraints
- Help develop and maintain reporting frameworks, KPIs, and progress tracking against strategic goals
- Lead the preparation of quarterly updates for the Global Management Committee (GMC) on execution of strategic priorities, including progress, key risks, tradeoffs, and decisions required
Strategic Initiatives & CSOO Priorities:
- Support the CSOO in driving execution of select high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that do not yet have a clear functional owner, including coordinating inputs, developing materials, and ensuring clear next steps
- Support change management for select initiatives, including stakeholder alignment, communication, and driving adoption across teams to ensure successful implementation
- Assist in exploring and assessing new opportunities (e.g., entry into new channels or strategic partnerships), including market research, internal alignment, and business case development
- Prepare executive materials, analysis, and briefing documents to support decision-making and leadership discussions
- Provide analytical and execution support across select CSOO priorities, flexing as needs and areas of focus evolve
- Support a small number of high-priority special projects as they arise
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, transformation, management consulting, or similar cross‑functional roles
- Strong track record of hands‑on execution in cross‑functional environments
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders while operating without direct authority
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable outputs
- Experience in program or initiative management preferred
- Experience in asset management, real estate, or related industries is a plus
Job Location and Travel
- This position is based in our Chicago office.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $180,000-$230,000 and will be further discussed during the interview process. This range represents what Heitman reasonably and in good faith believes we would pay a qualified candidate for this role at the time of posting (based on a full-time equivalent schedule). Your actual base salary placement will depend on factors such as (but not limited to): your relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition, all of our team members are bonus eligible and participate in a generous annual bonus plan, with the percentage varying based on your role and level, ensuring that your contributions are recognized and rewarded.
