What You'll Doing
The Manager, Governance and Controls is responsible for working to effectively assess risk related to regulatory compliances, business operations and financial processes that support multiple lines of business. The role applies strong understanding of regulatory, operational and financial requirements, assess and provide informed recommendations on risks and identify and design controls to mitigate those risks. The role independently documents findings of assessments, calculations, findings and conclusions for use in the decision making process.

How You'll Succeed
Control Testing - Execute control testing activities, including risk assessments, sample selection, and documentation of results. Identify control gaps, weaknesses, and areas for improvement; recommend actionable remediation plans. Collaborate with multiple business units to ensure control testing is completed within timelines.
Risk Assessment – Perform comprehensive and independent assessments of risks across multiple business units and assess the impact on the bank. Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across the bank in order to effectively assess risks and support Sr. Manager in documenting calculations, working papers and conclusions.
Internal Controls Design and Documentation – Support Sr. Manager in identifying and designing effective internal controls to address identified risks. Prepare control process documents and ensure they are communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders. Track and follow up with stakeholders for necessary approvals, wherever required.
Support Sr. Manager on Ad-hoc Tasks – Coordinate meetings, documentation, follow-up on action items, conduct research and analysis to support decision-making processes.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 3 to 5 years of experience in control activities, risk management, process documentation and control design to enable the creation of a sound control framework and effective risk assessment
