Our Procurement & Facilities team is seeking a Security Lead for Central America & the Caribbean (CARCAM) to join our team.

 

In this position you will be responsible for coordinating and executing operational security activities across the Central American and Caribbean cluster, ensuring effective implementation of physical and electronic security standards, incident response protocols, crisis coordination, contractor oversight, and compliance with corporate security requirements.

 

The role will support business continuity through operational risk mitigation, security governance, and continuous improvement of security practices across all company facilities and operations.

 

What you’ll do

  • Develop, manage, and supervise periodic inspection plans, security protocol reviews, device and CCTV testing, and reinforcement of all physical and electronic security measures across company facilities.
  • Define and execute comprehensive inspection plans to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and improvement opportunities in physical, electronic, and operational security, producing periodic reports and corresponding action plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with physical security standards, guard force performance, access control procedures, CCTV coverage, and operational readiness across all facilities.
  • Oversee and ensure timely corrective actions and maintenance of security systems and infrastructure according to identified physical and electronic risks or threats.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing Country Security Plans, Security Risk Assessments, and other Global Security required procedures and documentation.
  • Supervise security providers and guard force operations, including post orders, attendance controls, incident escalation processes, SLA compliance, and operational performance KPIs.
  • Coordinate immediate operational response to incidents affecting employees, dealerships, warehouses, offices, and logistics operations, ensuring proper escalation and corrective action follow-up.
  • Lead emergency response procedures that may impact business continuity, coordinating actions and resources during crisis events such as fires, thefts, accidents, or operational disruptions.
  • Support secure transportation coordination, travel security measures, and journey management activities for employees and visitors when required.
  • Build and maintain strong collaboration with local authorities, neighbouring companies, and external security networks to enable joint protection measures, especially during high-risk periods or events.
  • Continuously reinforce and communicate security protocols through preventive awareness campaigns and training sessions to ensure strict compliance across all company premises.
  • Design and deliver security training programs for employees, contractors, and key stakeholders, promoting a proactive security culture across the organization.
  • Keep all security policies, manuals, procedures, and protocols updated, ensuring alignment with current risks, technologies, corporate requirements, and operational practices.
  • Prepare, coordinate with third-party security providers, and manage security reports, trends, dashboards, and operational metrics, maintaining visibility over key risk indicators and service performance.
  • Monitor local security trends, civil unrest, criminality, and operational disruptions that may affect employees, facilities, or logistics operations, providing operational recommendations when required.
  • Support the preparation of local security assessments, threat monitoring reports, and operational risk evaluations related to facilities, employees, logistics, and business operations.
  • Serve as the primary operational security focal point for the market, supporting business leaders on operational security matters and incident coordination. 

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate security, preferably within a multinational company.
  • Professional degree in Administration, Law, Military Sciences, Police, or related fields.
  • Strategic Security Management Course.
  • Proven experience leading internal and contracted security teams, including guard force operations and security service providers.
  • Experience supervising third-party security providers, SLA compliance, and physical security service delivery in multi-site environments.
  • Strong background in crisis management, incident investigation, loss and damage control, and coordination with local authorities.
  • Experience conducting operational security inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Experience managing specialized security service contracts and contractor performance.
  • Demonstrated experience with executive protection protocols, secure transportation, and journey management coordination.
  • Advanced English level for interaction with key members of the global team- preferred
