Business Finance Manager
Job Description
This important roles serves as a key financial advisor to business leaders, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to drive strategic decisions and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic advisor to Business Unit Directors and Brand Team Leaders, supporting decision-making.
- Closely cooperate with Market Access Value Proposition Managers on scenario planning, price change requests, price controls (actual vs approved) and financial analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives, investments, and cost management.
- Lead the Business Plan, Long Range Plan, and LBE processes for designated Therapeutic Areas, aligning with company objectives.
- Manage sales and demand planning in cooperation with commercial teams.
- Prepare S&OP financial reports and presentations, including KPIs and performance metrics.
- Calculate, plan, and maximize Brand Product P&Ls.
- Continuously improve financial models, reporting tools, and processes to drive better decision-making and forecasting accuracy.
- Oversee expense planning and review and comment actual spending versus multiple benchmarks (Plan, LBE, PY, LRP).
- Identify risks and opportunities, recommending corrective actions.
- Support month - and quarter- end closing with accruals and reserves calculations, ensuring accuracy of accounting entries in cooperation with Financial Shared Service staff.
- Liaise between Finance and other departments, translating financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Train and onboard Brand Team members in Finance.
- Educate and upskill non-finance commercial staff in key financial principles, tools, and best practices to enhance financial literacy and business decision-making.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) strongly preferred.
- 7+ years’ experience in FP&A, business partnering, or related finance roles, ideally within pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, able to distill complex financial information for diverse audiences.
- Experience managing complex budgets and providing actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP/BI tools (SAP, Power BI) is a plus.
- Strong commercial acumen, balancing tactical and strategic priorities.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluent in English.
