Joining our Float Pool team means you’ll work alongside diverse care teams across several nursing units at Sovah Health, making a meaningful impact wherever you go.
How you’ll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
- Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
- Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).

What we’re looking for
Applicants must be a graduate of a professional school of nursing
Should have a current VA RN license or compact state
Bachelors preferred but not required
Previous experience highly preferred
Additional requirements include:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three (3) months of hire
American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Nurse Association required or within six (6) months of hire.
