This is a role within the Castrol organization, and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

About the role:
Deliver Finance Group Reporting support to the business.
Super user of JDE Keris and FBW reporting for general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable modules.
Accountable for closing and maintenance of the general ledgers (and all sub-ledgers) in JDE Keris and FBW.
Support of timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes in accordance with the Group Reporting Manual and any other relevant standards and provide support for other Group reporting requirements such as Balance Sheet Integrity.
The ARC Analyst will work on businesses and processes with a relatively high degree of complexity. Will be required to work closely with the Business teams supported to ensure effective delivery.
Statutory Financial Statements Responsibilities.
Key accountabilities:
Support operations management across various ARC teams, business and geographies according to process design.
Providing deep “process domain expertise” for the relevant process to support operations delivery, silent running, quality management and control.
Provide guidance, support, training and mentoring for operations teams.
Supporting operations with accountability for managing and monitoring finance processes in the respective process and providing accurate and timely management information and reconciliations as required.
Manage relationships with: service providers where processes are outsourced ensuring the relevant outputs are in line with requirements, the CFO organization that the related issues are dealt with in a timely and effective manner.
Support Delivery in line with finance service Centre strategy to meet agreed Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators, targets and budgets.
Provide technical analysis and feedback regarding impact of projects, upgrades and modification. As well as provide feedback and updates back to the team.
Operational improvement identification, solution development & implementations.
Resolve queries and issues as they arise with reference to relevant resources such as the Group Reporting Manual, working with the Business teams or other support from within the FBT.

Requirements:
Education
Recognised accounting professional membership – CA or ACCA
Essential experience
Demostrated strong experience in finance and accounting post articles
Desireable criteria
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to operate within the company’s policies and professional standards but have the latitude to determine their own application and interpretation and develop projects/processes/procedures to improve the statutory and group reporting processes.
Sound knowledge of technical and professional financial accounting discipline with the ability to quickly understand a variety of issues and develop appropriate action plans and proposals.
Strong written and presentation skills.
Can operate independently, under pressure to achieve consistent results and deliver quality outputs.
Proven ability to run small scale projects and drive continuous improvement.
Strong planning and management skills to deliver on multiple deadlines for external audit, group, and other stakeholder requests.
