Job Description

 

Process warranty claims for Mercedes Benz and third party warranty companies with a focus on timely submission, accurate submission and reconciliation of payments received.
The Warranty Administrator serves a critical role in accurately processing and submitting warranty claims to manufacturer's specifications.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coding of warranty repairs on service repair orders
  • Daily submission of properly coded warranty claims information to Mercedes Benz
  • Daily reconciliation of warranty payments received overnight from Mercedes Benz
  • Daily tracking of outstanding warranty claims
  • Daily tracking of suspended claims and management of the warranty claim to address reasons for suspension
  • Communicate with Mercedes Benz representatives for assistance as needed to complete processing of warranty claims
  • Monthly tracking of first time paid % and total paid % from Mercedes Benz's warranty composite report
  • Regular meetings with service and parts management to review warranty claims performance
  • Work with accounting department to research any variances in claims amount submitted and claims amount paid
  • Work with dispatcher and cashiers to efficiently process all open repair orders which include warranty repairs
  • Other tasks assigned by the Service Director

  • Ability to work across department lines within the organization for highest efficiency in processing of warranty claims
  • Diligence in researching suspended claims and correcting as needed for payment
  • Enjoys a high-paced volume of warranty claims and the satisfaction from completing the warranty claim process
