LPN II, AAMC Med Surg, Resource Pool, Rotating Shifts

The LPN works under the direction of the registered nurse and utilizes the nursing process in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of nursing care to the patient. This individual collaborates with other members of the team in providing health information, maintenance and restoration. The LPN may collect data on the health status of the patient in conjunction with other members of the health care team, for the identification of health goals. The LPN may communicate with the patient the status of goal achievement as a basis for reassessment, reordering of priorities, and new goal setting for contribution to the modification of the nursing care plan.
