Job Description

Every time a guest taps “Order” in the Casey’s app, builds a pizza online, scans Rewards at the pump, or pays with a saved card — a backend system has to make that moment feel effortless. Across 3,000+ stores, 19 states, and 10M+ Rewards members, that plumbing is what makes a c-store run like a digital business.

This role is the dedicated Product Owner for that backend core — the SAP Hybris, GraphQL, and integration layer that connects ordering, loyalty, and payment. The Product Owner partners with a Product Manager who owns the broader ecommerce strategy, and is accountable for backlog health, stakeholder alignment, and the reliability of the systems that power every digital transaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reliability of the ordering & checkout pipeline. Own the SAP Hybris order flow, payment routing through ACI, real-time inventory sync to stores, and guest checkout flows that just work.
  • Third-party integration ownership. Drive day-to-day relationships with vendors holding their roadmaps, contracts, and bug queues accountable to ours.
  • Backlog & sprint health. Story decomposition, acceptance criteria, definition of done, and sprint hygiene — the discipline that lets a scrum team ship clean work every two weeks instead of fighting fires.
  • Stakeholder partnership. Intake, alignment, and status comms with business owners across Marketing, Loyalty, Store Operations, and Finance. Run the readiness conversations that get a release across the line.
  • Production readiness. Pre-release reviews, integration signoffs, and the kind of vendor bug triage that protects guests on day one of a launch.
  • Process consistency. Work closely with other product owners to ensure consistency in execution and responsibilities within the agile delivery teams. Perform other duties as assigned.

Why Casey's:

We’re a 60-year-old company that’s somehow also one of the most interesting digital plays in retail. Casey’s is the third-largest convenience retailer and the fifth-largest pizza chain in the country — and we’re here for good in towns most companies pass through. The work is technical, the stakes are real (guests in rural communities counting on us for dinner), and the team is what Iowa is: relentlessly nice and quietly competitive.

Compensation

Starting pay range:‏‏‎ ‎$91,600-120,200.‏‏‎ ‎ Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
