Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern
Location: Telford
Department: Environmental, Health & Safety
Reports To: EHS Specialist
Duration: Internship (e.g., Summer / 3–12 months)
Position Summary
The EHS Intern supports the Environmental, Health & Safety team in promoting a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace. This role provides hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, risk assessment, safety programs, and environmental initiatives while assisting with day-to-day EHS operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and programs
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations
- Participate in workplace safety inspections and hazard identification activities
- Help track and analyze safety metrics, incident reports, and near-miss data
- Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Support training initiatives, including; preparing materials, delivering in a hands-on format, and tracking progress and completion.
- Maintain EHS documentation, records, and reports for audits and compliance reviews
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and environmental by utilizing technology and/or developing efficient digital processes
- Assist with emergency preparedness planning and drills
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a strong safety culture
Learning Objectives

Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Engineering or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and comprehend complex material, perform basic measurement tasks and mathematical equations
Preferred
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Interest in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience with data analysis or reporting tools
Working Conditions
- Exposure to manufacturing or operational environments

- May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
