Sr Accountant

Job Summary:
Columbia Sportswear Company continues to evolve in response to changing global market dynamics while
transforming internal finance processes to support sustainable growth.
The Treasury Senior Accountant is responsible for daily treasury operations and core accounting activities.
This role supports cash management, bank transactions, and treasury-related accounting while also handling
general accounting and tax related tasks.
The position works closely with local and global finance teams and contributes to accurate financial
reporting, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement.

Treasury & Cash Management
• Monitor daily cash balances and support cash forecasting.
• Execute bank transfers, payments, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure FX-related tracking and treasury reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate differences.
General Accounting
• Lease accounting, including monthly postings and reconciliation.
• Fixed assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
• Inventory accounting, including reconciliation and physical cycle count process
• Support month-end, year-end closing and tax return activities.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
• Identify opportunities to improve treasury and accounting processes.
• Support system usage and improvements (SAP).
• Work closely with Accounting, FP&A, and Global Treasury teams.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of experience in treasury and/or accounting roles.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in both Japanese and English.
