Civil Construction Workers – Manawatū/Whanganui

Ready to get stuck in and be part of a solid crew? Downer is growing our teams across Manawatū/Whanganui and we’re building a pipeline of great people to join us. From critical infrastructure to essential maintenance work, you’ll be part of projects that keep communities moving.

We offer full-time, permanent opportunities with 40 hours guaranteed, plus overtime, allowances and penal rates under the AWUNZ agreement.

We’re looking for:

• Foreman – Lead from the front, coordinate crews, and drive safe, efficient site delivery. Work closely with Supervisors to plan and organise daily activities, including allocation of plant and people.
  Class 2 licence + WTR required 
• Driver Operators – Operate machinery and trucks while supporting on-the-ground activities.
  Class 2 licence minimum + WTR required 
• Drainage Operators – Work across water, wastewater and stormwater projects, operating plant and supporting installation works.
  Must hold relevant drainage certification/experience 
• Civil Labourers – Get hands-on across a variety of civil works, supporting crews and building your career in the industry.
