Job Description
NAES Corp has an immediate opening for a High Voltage Substation/Transmission Technician Lead for the Garden City and Port Washington high voltage transmission lines, based at the NYPA Project located in Astoria, NY.
Commissioned in 1991, the Long Island Sound Cable, a pioneering 345 kV transmission circuit, utilizes Laminated Paper Polypropylene insulation. Spanning 26.3 miles from Con Edison’s Sprain Brook Substation in Yonkers to East Garden City Substation, it includes the South Transition Station, housing equipment like a 3-phase, 150 MVAr, 345kV Shunt Reactor. In NYC, the Garden City and Port Washington High Voltage Underground Transmission Lines distribute power at 345kV, featuring robust infrastructure for energy demands.
This position offers a base pay rate of $70.34 per hour.
