Physician Assistant - Burn Care
Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum one year of recent experience working in Acute or Critical Care as a Physician Assistant
- Demonstrated excellence in the following areas: clinical practice, communication, clinical case management, leadership/problem identification/resolution, and teaching.
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Inpatient Physician Assistant in an academic medical center.
Licensure/Certification:
- Active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA)
- California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position
- Current national board certification (NCCPA) by first day of work and maintain
- Active DEA registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 to a California address
- Completion of an AAPA recognized graduate master’s degree program as a physician assistant
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day
- Current AHA BLS
- Current AHA ACLS
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
