Job Description

Summary Statement

The Technician II, Facilities will perform under general supervision servicing, adjusting, and repairing all types of heating and ventilating systems, control systems, air circulating systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and refrigeration systems. This position is under the direction and leadership of the facilities department and will work towards attaining maintenance goals and company objectives in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:   

  • Perform skilled technical duties involving repair, maintenance, replacement, installation of heating, air-conditioning, and distribution systems, as necessary.
  • Fix, repair, and perform troubleshooting on heat pumps, air-conditioning, chillers, and refrigeration units.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance job duties on electrical, mechanical systems and plumbing under the recommendations of the facilities organization.
  • Change faulty motors, compressors, coil units, expansion valves and other constituent parts.
  • Engage in trade work in specific areas or in specialized skills involving multiple trades which may include repair, maintenance, alteration, installation, fabrication, construction, and creation of facility units.
  • Troubleshoot and oversee abnormalities to aid smooth operations.
  • Read and comprehend all necessary documents including, but not limited to technical manuals, procedural manuals, safety rules, sketches, blueprints, manufacturer specifications and troubleshooting guides.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: – Includes but is not limited to 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:   

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:   

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain the following:
    • Nevada Driver’s License
  • CPO, OSHA 10/30 and EPA Certifications

  • Ability to work in various environments (Hot/Cold/Outdoors).
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • Prolonged sitting/standing.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, crawl and stand for an extended period.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
