
Journeyman Plumber - San Antonio, TX
Job Description
Essential Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings to plan installation sequences
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including:
- Domestic water, gas, sanitary waste & vent, and storm drainage systems
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, valves, and plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, water heaters, etc.)
- Cut, thread, braze, solder, groove, and join piping using appropriate tools and techniques
- Measure, mark, and cut openings in walls and floors for pipe installation
- Perform system testing (air/water) to identify and resolve leaks
- Install sleeves, roof/wall penetrations, and support systems per code requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow all PPE and safety protocols
- Support safety initiatives including pre-task planning
- Mentor and provide guidance to apprentices and less experienced team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid Journeyman Plumber’s License
- 4+ years as a Plumbing Journeyman
- Ability to operate construction equipment (e.g., scissor lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts)
- Must be open to travel as required by project needs throughout Texas
