Under general supervision, monitors and guides trainee performance. Employees in this job will train TEAM members to learn the safest practices, best production techniques, and to understand quality control, while interacting with management on a regular basis. This job requires knowledge of the process workflow and production in the locations manufacturing environment.

SUMMARY: THIS POSITION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HELPING TRAIN NEWLY HIRED TEAM MEMBERS.  THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ESSENTIAL UNDERSTANDING/KNOWLEDGE OF THE JOB AREA THE NEW HIRE IS ASSIGNED TO.

Requirements:

6 months continuous work history with single employer in past 12 months.

Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.

Must be able to communicate efficiently

1-2 years production lead experience preferred. 1-3 years debone cone line experience preferred.

               

TRAINER MUST KNOW PROPER PROCEDURES AND BE FAMILILIAR

WITH ALL JOBS REQUIRED WITHIN ASSIGNED AREA.

KNOWLEDGEABLE OF REGULATIONS AND PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

REQUIRED BY QA, HACCP, AND USDA.

MUST COMMUNICATE WELL, DISPLAY GOOD PEOPLE SKILLS, AND

WORK WELL WITH TEAM MEMBERS OF PRODUCTION, MANAGEMENT,

USDA, ETC.

EXCELLENT ATENDANCE. MUST NOT HAVE MORE THAN 4 ATTENDANCE POINTS AND MAINTAIN NO MORE THAN 5 POINTS TO RETAIN POSITION.

MUST BE WILLING AND CAPABLE OF WELCOMING, TRAINING,

MENTORING, AND ASSISTING HIRES AND REHIRES IN ORDER TO

DEVELOP THE COMFORT, SKILLS, AND SPEED REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB.

MUST HAVE SKILLS NECESSARY FOR EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

AND/OR TRAINING.

MUST BE WILLING TO TAKE THAT EXTRA STEP TO ENCOURAGE NEW

TEAM MEMBERS.

MUST BE ABLE TO MANEUVER FREELY THROUGHOUT THE PLANT. MUST BE ABLE TO TOLERATE WALKING/STANDING FOR 75% OF ENTIRE DURATION OF THE SHIFT. MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM ALL JOBS WITHIN GIVEN AREA OF

RESPONSIBILITY.

MUST BE ABLE TO TOLERATE HOT/COLD CONDITIONS AND DAMP

SLIPPERY WORK CONDITIONS.

MUST BE ABLE TO USE BOTH ARMS ABOVE/BELOW WAIST/SHOULDER LEVEL. MUST BE CAPABLE OF FREQUENT STOOPING/BENDING/TWISTING AT

KNEES/WAIST.

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
