Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead (Weekend Shift 4)
Schedule: Friday - Sunday: 6AM - 6:30PM
Pay Rate: $34.50

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Team Lead will report to the Maintenance Manager. The ideal candidate will be experienced in manufacturing (prior food and beverage service experience is highly preferable), will possess a solid understanding of all Safety & Food Safety Requirements and will be tenured in the required mechanical and technical repair functions to deliver results in four key operational areas: People, Quality, Service and Cost. The candidate should be growth oriented and interested in assuming positions of greater responsibility as their skills progress.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee, work with and train a team of mechanics/technicians to achieve performance objectives and ensure maintenance of safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Manage mechanic’s work assignments, coordinate their schedules and actively train/assist them in completion of work.
  • Inspect completed work, ensuring full completion at expected standards and the proper maintenance and operation of all production equipment and plant systems.
  • Ensure the proper records are entered and maintained within a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, supplies and maintenance history of plant equipment.
  • Act as the on-shift liaison between all maintenance, customer and other departments, including management, effectively communicating necessary information.
  • Maintain sanitation and housekeeping at expected levels at all times.
  • Actively manage department activities to deliver against cost objectives.
  • Always be mindful of and adhere to GMP’s, Quality and Food Safety requirements.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and guidelines.
  • All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (for example, GED).
  • 3-5 years Experience as a Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing facility having exposure to the repair and maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment. 
  • Prior experience with CMMS.
  • Proficient (beyond basic skills) with Microsoft Excel and strong general functional computer skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, workflow and operational procedures.
  • Solid understanding of environmental, health, safety and food safety regulations.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Results focused with an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Self motivated.
  • Strong organizational, people management/team building, leadership and communication skills.
  • Interested and capable of growing into positions of greater responsibility.
  • The ability to successfully pass the pre-employment process. 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of Packaging & Roasting Machinery in a high volume, fast paced production facility is highly preferable.
  • Prior experience with SAP
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, balancing, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, grasping, typing, reading, talking and hearing.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with the help of another employee.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently working near production machinery and occasionally near hand jacks or forklifts.
  • Frequently working in an environment with variable temperatures.
