Summary:
As an SAP Techno-Functional Engineer, a typical day involves designing, supporting, and enhancing SAP solutions across complex enterprise landscapes using SAP Solution Manager (Full ChaRM, ChaRM Retrofit, Focus Build, and XLD) frameworks. The role requires hands-on involvement in S/4HANA developments, including CDS Views, SAP Fiori, OData services, and UI5 applications, while closely collaborating with Functional, Basis, and Security teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and business-aligned solutions within global template environments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Act as a techno-functional SME, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver SAP solutions.
Participate in and support decision-making for team and project-level activities.
Work closely with Functional, Basis, and Security teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Support and execute Full ChaRM, ChaRM Retrofit, Focus Build, XLD, and cross-stream build activities.
Contribute to S/4HANA developments including enhancements, fixes, and continuous improvements.
Ensure compliance with Global Template standards, transport management processes, and landscape governance using SAP STMS.
Support build, deployment, and stabilization activities across multiple SAP streams.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
SAP ABAP Techno-Functional expertise with functional exposure to FI/CO/MM/SD/PM.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager (Full ChaRM, ChaRM Retrofit, Focus Build, XLD).
Experience working in complex SAP landscapes and Global Template implementations.
Familiarity with SAP STMS and end-to-end transport management.
Proven ability to collaborate with Functional, Basis, and Security teams to resolve issues.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with S/4HANA innovations, including:
CDS Views
SAP Fiori
OData services
UI5 applications
Exposure to cross-stream build activities and integrated SAP environments.
Additional Information:
Minimum 4–5 years of experience as an SAP Techno-Functional Consultant.
Prior experience in large-scale or global SAP programs is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in multi-team, enterprise setups.
