Maintenance Technician – JLL
What this job involves:
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the operational excellence of our building facilities. This position serves as the frontline technical resource responsible for ensuring our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. You'll work hands-on across diverse maintenance activities—from plumbing repairs to interior upkeep—while supporting our operations team in delivering exceptional facility management services. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing directly to the comfort and safety of building occupants and the success of JLL's property operations.
What your day-to-day will look like:
• Perform plumbing repairs and troubleshooting to maintain building water systems and fixtures.
• Execute painting projects and interior maintenance tasks to preserve building aesthetics and functionality.
• Conduct assigned facility inspections and equipment testing, documenting as-found conditions and reporting findings.
• Assist the operations team with building and equipment maintenance, repair, and improvement projects.
• Maintain work area housekeeping standards and comply with all safety procedures and protocols.
• Identify potential safety hazards and danger areas, proposing practical solutions to eliminate risks.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Physical ability to perform frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and overhead work, including working from ladders and lifts.
• Demonstrated ability to comply with Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Completion of an applicable technical training program in building maintenance, plumbing, or related trades.
• Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
• Familiarity with building systems, equipment troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols and hazard recognition in facility environments.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks effectively.
