Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Senior Manager, Capital Accounting & Project Portfolio Management (PPM) to join our Global Controllership team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, leading the capital-related month-end close, and ensuring robust Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance across dual US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) frameworks. You will serve as a critical financial partner to our Design & Construction and regional business teams, driving process optimization across our expanding global footprint.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Responsibility 1 (Main Responsibility & Outputs): Manage the end-to-end Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and capital lifecycle within Oracle—from project creation and cost collection to Construction in Progress (CIP) reconciliation and final capitalization—ensuring accurate, timely depreciation and policy compliance.
Responsibility 2 (Collaboration & Outcomes): Collaborate as a key finance partner with Regional Operations, Design & Construction, and Capital Expenditure Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams to monitor "Placed in Service" dates, deliver comprehensive variance analysis, and support new asset acquisitions.
Responsibility 3 (Compliance & Standards): Ensure strict compliance with US GAAP, Ind AS, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls by leading month-end close reviews, approving balance sheet reconciliations, and coordinating internal and external audits.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
8 to 12 years of progressive accounting experience in a multinational environment, with a dedicated focus on real estate construction accounting, capital deployment, and the "Record to Report" process.
Strong knowledge of dual reporting frameworks (US GAAP/ASC 842 and Ind AS) and advanced proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically PPM and Fixed Assets.
Proven ability in operating within a global matrix structure, driving process automation between subledgers and the General Ledger, and managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple time zones.
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) professional designation.
