About the Team
The Developer Platform Product Management team at Workday drives the product vision and strategy for one of our greatest differentiators: the technology platform that was purpose-built for the cloud. Product managers on this team are involved in every aspect of the product lifecycle — from crafting features that delight customers, to evangelizing improvements across internal and external audiences, to focusing on the details that make an outstanding end product. We are growing quickly, and we are looking for people who combine strategic vision with a strong record of getting high-impact products to market.About the Role
Workday Build developer platform is an embedded platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that leverages the power of ML/AI to empower developers to build and extend enterprise applications, agents and integrations on top of the Workday platform. As a Senior Product Manager on our Developer Experience team, you will focus on empowering our developer community to build, test, and deploy applications more efficiently and with greater confidence.
You will:
Partner with Workday customers, partners, and internal development teams — including architecture, consulting, operations, and product — to understand developer requirements and prioritize what will deliver the most value.
Work closely with engineering from design and development through testing, release, and maintenance to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of platform and tooling enhancements.
Define and maintain a clear product roadmap, determining requirements for each release based on user needs, technical architecture, and business objectives.
Guide product teams toward meaningful objectives and key results that improve developer productivity, satisfaction, and adoption.
Lead education and adoption of developer platform features by internal development teams, ensuring new capabilities are well understood and successfully used.
Coordinate and align requirements across multiple scrum teams operating in a complex, distributed software environment.
Communicate and evangelize your product area in the broader Workday community, including at Workday events, and other internal and external forums.
Lead technical discussions with customers and partners to deeply understand use cases, gather feedback, and translate insights into product improvements.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in product management, software engineering, or a closely related role, with ownership of technical products or platforms.
4+ years of experience working cross-functionally with multiple technical and product teams.
4+ years of experience building or using developer tools to solve complex technical challenges and unlock new innovation.
Experience using AI-powered tools and platforms to inform product decisions, accelerate workflows, or enhance user experience.
Other Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with developer tools and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products, ideally focused on platform or ecosystem capabilities.
Ability to break down complex technical concepts, clearly articulate product requirements, and thoughtfully prioritize enhancement requests in partnership with engineering and business stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to explore data, run experiments, and use measurement and monitoring to guide product decisions.
Excellent organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; you work effectively with diverse teams and perspectives.
High level of initiative, with strong problem-solving and execution skills; you reliably move work from concept to delivery.
Passion for technology and a genuine desire to improve the day-to-day experience of developers and builder communities.
Experience with embedded PaaS products and tools, microservices, and distributed systems.
Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment and adapting as priorities evolve.
Demonstrated experience with end-to-end ownership and accountability for growing a product area, from vision through execution and iteration.
Enthusiasm for your craft and a desire to learn and grow alongside other Product Managers, sharing best practices and contributing to a strong product culture.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email [email protected].
