
Data Center Technical Trainer

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for data center staff (e.g., hardware, networking, cooling systems, power management).
- Create training materials including presentations, job aids and reference guides
- Conduct hands-on sessions and simulations for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
- Conduct one-on-one coaching and training on an ad hoc basis
- Conduct follow-up sessions with learners and managers to ensure effectiveness of learning
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data center technologies and best practices.
- Liaise with operational and support teams to identify training needs
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a data center technician role
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, power, cooling).
- Familiarity with safety standards and compliance regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passionate about helping people learn and develop their skills
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Experience training or coaching colleagues in a data center environment
- Previous in-person or virtual presentation or public speaking experience
