Data Center Technical Trainer

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Develop and deliver technical training programs for data center staff (e.g., hardware, networking, cooling systems, power management).
• Create training materials including presentations, job aids and reference guides
• Conduct hands-on sessions and simulations for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
• Conduct one-on-one coaching and training on an ad hoc basis
• Conduct follow-up sessions with learners and managers to ensure effectiveness of learning
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data center technologies and best practices.
• Liaise with operational and support teams to identify training needs

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a data center technician role
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, power, cooling).
• Familiarity with safety standards and compliance regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passionate about helping people learn and develop their skills

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

• Experience training or coaching colleagues in a data center environment
• Previous in-person or virtual presentation or public speaking experience
