Job Description
Position Summary
Provides leadership and oversight of all fitness operations and programming within LifeStyles, Valley’s Health and Wellness Center. Serves as the primary liaison and on‑site director for the facility, addressing building‑level operational matters and coordinating resolution with services housed in the building—including Clinical Services, Administrative Departments, tenant partners, and Facilities— or appropriate external departments and leadership
Education
Bachelor’s degree required in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, Health & Wellness, Business, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred. BLS required. Relevant professional certifications or credentials in fitness, wellness, sports performance, clinical, or management disciplines preferred. MFA Director Certification preferred and supported as part of ongoing professional development.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in fitness, wellness, sports performance, or health-related operations, including demonstrated responsibility for team leadership, program oversight, and facility operations. Experience in a medical fitness, hospital-affiliated, or multidisciplinary environment is preferred.

- Demonstrated customer service orientation, including effective handling of concerns, complaints, and service recovery for diverse populations
- Ability to serve as a visible on‑site leader and representative of LifeStyles and Valley’s Center for Health and Wellness
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information, set expectations, and facilitate problem resolution
- Sound judgment and decision‑making skills, including the ability to address matters at the building level and appropriately escalate through leadership channels when necessary
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, balancing operational demands, staff needs, and organizational priorities.
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Valley’s leadership expectations.
