Job Description
The Purchasing Assistant position is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Management department by providing administrative support, entering data, accurately reporting information in a timely manner, filing, interacting with cross-functional teams, and working on special projects. • Provide administrative support to the Supply Chain Management team, including data entry • Ensure purchase orders and invoices are properly processed; may require data entry and analysis • Complete monthly reports (charts, data, and graphs) in a timely and accurate manner • Assist in maintaining adequate records to support buying activities, audit control, supplier performance, and expenditure reporting • Able to take on some responsibilities for procurement of MRO (Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations - indirect material) items • Assist with analyzing quotes and soliciting written and verbal quotes from suppliers • Prepare and handle confidential information • Follow established processes and procedures and assist in implementing improvements • Other tasks as assigned
