Technical Delivery Manager (Embedded & IoT)

Ciklum is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager (Embedded & IoT) to join our team full-time in Slovakia.

About the role:

As a Technical Delivery Manager (Embedded & IoT), you will become a part of a cross-functional development team, ensuring smooth and successful project execution across all stages—from initial pre-sales to final delivery. You will be responsible for balancing competing constraints, managing large-scale teams, and maintaining high-level customer relationships that drive sustainable business growth. In this role, you will also closely collaborate with engineering and QA teams working on mobile, IoT and hardware-related products, including both iOS and Android applications, firmware components, and connected device ecosystems. A strong understanding of technical delivery in such environments is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Delivery & Planning: Define and manage project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources while creating and monitoring a project plan. Experience with test strategy, test planning and test design is highly valued to ensure delivery quality
• Client Engagement & Growth: Build and maintain close, trust-based relationships with customers at all levels to deliver and grow your accounts
• Financial & Contractual Management: Manage project budgets, time, and financials, including gross margin, rate cards, and budget forecasting. Prepare invoicing details
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and escalate risks or blockers, developing contingency plans and initiating corrective actions. Experience with incident management and production issue coordination is an advantage
• Team Leadership & Operations: Build project dedicated development team, coordinate team ramp-up, onboarding, and resource allocation for teams of up to 75 FTE, including function team management and coordination of cross-functional engineering, QA, and product teams
• Pre-sales & Process Excellence: Participate in pre-sales and support the creation of delivery proposals that align with client needs
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordination of external and internal stakeholders involved in the project
• Additionally, experience with Agile QA processes, system testing, mobile testing (iOS/Android), TestFlight, product analytics, test reporting and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab and Docker is considered a strong advantage. Familiarity with Python or C++ environments and collaboration with embedded/firmware development teams is also beneficial

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Agile Delivery / Project Management, ideally within IT Outsourcing
• Team Management: Proven track record of managing multiple agile teams or projects of 25–75 FTE
• Agile Expertise: In-depth understanding and practical experience with Scrum and Kanban (SAFe)
• Business Acumen: Strong commercial understanding, financial literacy (GM, budget forecasting), and familiarity with contract types (SOW, MSA)
• Project Governance: Ability to supervise Project Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Closing phases
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving attitude using systems-thinking and ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Education: Bachelor’s/Master's in IT, Electronics, Business, or a similar field
• Certifications: Agile certification (Scrum Master or ICAgile) recommended; PMI CAPM or similar foundations are a plus
• Communication: Advanced level of spoken and written English
• Fluent Slovak language on B2 or higher level
• Fully remote is NOT possible (at least 3 days/week in the office in Bratislava is a must)
• Willingness to be employed under an employment contract (no B2B cooperation)

Desirable:

• This role operates in a highly technical engineering environment involving mobile, embedded and IoT systems. Hands-on technical depth is not required, but strong understanding of engineering contexts is a key advantage
• Experience or strong understanding of mobile testing (iOS/Android), system and system integration testing, test strategy, test planning, test design, test reporting and incident management is highly valuable
• Exposure to IoT / hardware / firmware-driven projects, especially where software and embedded development are tightly integrated, is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with mobile ecosystems and tooling such as TestFlight, as well as product analytics, is beneficial
• Experience working with engineering workflows involving CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), Docker, and version control (Git) is a plus
• Basic understanding of Python or C++ development environments and collaboration with engineering teams using these technologies is also an advantage

The salary starts from 2600 Eur gross. The final salary depends on the previous experience and professional knowledge of the candidate.
