Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie is excited to launch our new 5 East Med Surg/Telemetry expansion unit, and we are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to help build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team.

Position Summary
The RN Nursing Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, quality outcomes, and team member engagement of the Med Surg/Telemetry unit. This leader will partner closely with nursing and hospital administration to establish a positive, patient-focused environment while supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Texas RN license or compact RN license
Previous nursing leadership experience (Manager, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Charge Nurse leadership, or equivalent)
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive engagement, and improve outcomes
Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills

Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN); Master's degree preferred
Med Surg and/or Telemetry leadership experience
Experience leading unit growth, expansion, or process improvement initiatives
National nursing certification

Job Summary

You are crucial as Manager of Nursing Registered Nurse 1 in creating a supportive, healthy space for staff. Your responsibilities include promoting top-tier nursing practices and ensuring a nurturing environment. Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is needed for this role.
  • A minimum of (3) three years' relevant experience is desired.
  • Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of starting the job.
