About the project  

As a Senior DBA Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our data infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security for our enterprise database systems. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex database architectures, driving strategic decisions around cloud migrations, high-availability strategies, and disaster recovery protocols. Combining deep technical expertise with a proactive mindset, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams, and continuously modernize our data ecosystem to support scalable, business-critical applications.  

 

What you’ll do 

• Design, implement, and maintain high-availability database architectures to ensure maximum uptime and system resilience. 

• Optimize database performance through advanced query tuning, indexing strategies, partitioning, and system configuration. 

• Lead database migration projects, including moving on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments or hybrid setups. 

• Establish and enforce robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies across all production environments. 

• Monitor system health, capacity, and resource utilization proactively to anticipate future scaling requirements. 

• Implement strict security policies, access controls, and data encryption standards to ensure regulatory compliance. 

• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to review database schemas, optimize stored procedures, and streamline CI/CD pipelines. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database incidents, providing root-cause analysis and long-term remediation steps. 

• Automate routine administrative tasks, deployments, and maintenance processes using scripting or orchestration tools. 

• Mentor junior database engineers and define technical standards and best practices for the entire data engineering team.  

 

What makes you a great fit 🎯 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• Strong MySQL administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. 

• Experience working with AWS, especially RDS and DMS. 

• Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
