Description
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Perform a variety of waterline, pumping, storage, and source development, sewer collection or hydrology and hydraulic (H&H) design for municipal or local agency groups
- Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of water, sewer or H&H projects
- Work within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects.
- Take ownership of project tasks from start to finish
- Communicates with supervisors and teams including from other offices
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 0-4+ years of experience in civil design is preferred. Entry-level candidates will be considered
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
- Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
- Acceptable verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goal
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
- Hydraulics and water/sewer experience is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
