This position is Monday- Thursday 2:45pm-12:45am.
To operate various types of lift trucks to transport various raw and finished products within the Soft Surface (SS) prep, Assembly, and Hard Surface (HS) areas without causing harm, danger, or damage. These lifts will include Fork, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) lifts, and Manlift order picker.
Primary Responsibilities:
Communicating with Lead/Supervisor on job assignment and any issues during the shift.
Follow all Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) policies and procedures.
Tape and repair any damaged packaging.
Complete and file paperwork such as lift truck check sheet, production, and work orders.
Operate scanner and computers.
Operate forklift to pick up various waste storage containers (hoppers, crates or totes) to empty into different balers for recycling
Operate forklift or Electric Standup Machine (ESM) to transport pallets of material from one area to another as well as to load trailers.
Operate VNA lift to locate pallets into the bins of the VNA racks.
Operate order picker to Stock and Pull Hard Surface Mezz Panels.
Operate order picker to locate Hardware in the VNA
Operate the pallet wrapper to wrap pallets for safe transfer to one area to another.
Other Duties:
Any other duties found necessary to aid in a safe and efficient operation as directed by Lead or Supervisor.
Communicating with lead/supervisor on job assignments and any issues during the shift.
Completion of paperwork such as lift truck check list (paper or electronic).
Assist with department housekeeping.
Work overtime as needed.
Be involved in Safety programs as required by Facility management.
Position Requirements:
Must be able to comprehend and record information.
Operate scan guns and computers
Must possess effective communication skills.
Must take proper Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) class and demonstrate knowledge of class.
Must take lockout/tagout (LOTO) and fall protection classes and demonstrate knowledge of these classes.
Must comply with all Corporate Policies.
Must adhere to the normal schedule, starting and stopping times and breaktimes.
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience of Powered Industrial Trucks
Able to read, understand, and record information on forms.
General Computer Knowledge
Ability to write legibly
Working Conditions:
Associates will also be required to work at heights while operating an order picker to stock and retrieve material from bins
Able to repeatedly climb onto and off PIT’s
Able to work from heights while wearing fall protection.
Frequently bend, reach, kneel, and squat while moving material.
Able to push a loaded buggy/pallet jack requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
Must be able to stand/sit for up to 2 hours at a time between breaks
Must be able to lift 10 to 30 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift with a maximum up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb stairs as needed.
Able to force the handle of a pallet jack down to lift a pallet, requiring approx. 17 lbs. of force.
Continuous use of hands, arms, and legs throughout the shift.
Encouraged to participate in pre-shift stretching
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment
Must be able to withstand changes in temperature and humidity
Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
