The Automotive Service Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing all transactions related to automotive service payments. This role ensures an efficient and accurate checkout process, maintains customer satisfaction, and supports the overall operations of the service department.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and answer any questions regarding their service or billing.
Provide a positive customer experience by addressing concerns or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
Payment Processing:

Accurately process payments for services, parts, and additional charges via cash, credit card, or other payment methods.
Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
Administrative Duties:

Update and manage customer accounts and service records in the company database.
Handle end-of-day balancing, including reconciling cash drawers and preparing deposits.
Coordination:

Communicate with the service advisors and technicians regarding completed jobs and customer pick-ups.
Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies in billing or services.
Other Duties:

Assist in scheduling service appointments when needed.
Maintain a clean and organized cashier workstation.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in customer service or accounting are a plus.
Previous cashier or customer service experience, preferably in an automotive or service-related industry.
Basic knowledge of automotive services is an advantage but not required.
Skills and Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and office software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude.
