
Assistant Manager - Accounting
Job Description
We are currently seeking an assistant manager (AVP) for our accounting department. This person would oversee reconcilements, accounts payable, general banking, controls, compliance and audit along with preparing journal entries and resolving errors and discrepancies. Responsibilities include timely and accurate reconciliation of all assigned ledgers, settlement and operational accounts, overseeing end-to-end AP process while monitoring AP metrics, supervising accounting activities related to loans, deposits, accruals and investment securities portfolios. Additionally, providing leadership and mentorship to the team and ensuring compliance with GAAP, NCUA regulations, internal policies and accounting practices. A bachelor's degree is preferred and minimum of 5 years of similar experience.
