Machine Operator Sheeting - Bindery Operator 2

Are you a detail-oriented machine operator who enjoys active, hands-on work? We are seeking a reliable Sheeter Operator / Material Handler to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for converting large rolls of paper into precision-cut sheeted paper for our pressroom. You will manage machine setups, perform routine maintenance, and transport heavy materials to ensure our high-speed printing operations never face downtime Pay:$ 23 - $30.25 base on experience  Shift: Wednesday to Saturday 7am - 7pm   Location:  18249 Phoenix Dr., Hagerstown, MD 21742 Culture & Engagement: Safety First Standard, Food Trucks, Employee Events, Holiday Parties, Employee Recognition Program, Advancement Opportunities!   Job Responsibilities:   Machine Operation: Setup and operate industrial paper sheeting machinery in strict accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).   Material Logistics: Safely move, stage, and deliver paper stock throughout the plant using forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual equipment.   Quality Assurance: Conduct regular, meticulous quality checks on cut paper to ensure precise sizing, clean edges, and zero product defects.   Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance (PMs) and minor troubleshooting to keep the sheeter running at peak efficiency.   Team & Floor Support: Work collaboratively with sheeting department personnel and floor staff to meet daily production goals.   What You Bring:   Equipment Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience operating a stand-up forklift or electric pallet jack is required.   Technical Competencies: Strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to accurately read a standard ruler.   Core Skills: Ability to read and execute written job instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.   Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.   Physical Requirements & Working Conditions   Ability to stand and walk continuously for a 12-hour shift.   Strength & Material Handling: Comfort lifting 45–60 lbs regularly, and the physical capability to push/pull up to 1,100 lbs using a manual pallet jack.   Environment: Adaptable to working in varying plant conditions, with potential exposure to controlled, non-toxic chemical vapors or mists typical of a print manufacturing environment.
