Job Description
Torch.AI is a data infrastructure AI company building technology that makes complex data easier to use, move, understand, and act on. Headquartered in Kansas City with offices in Washington, DC, we develop AI-enabled software that helps organizations unlock value from data across diverse environments, including mission-critical national defense settings.
Our work supports some of the most demanding customers and consequential missions in the world. We build technology that helps humans and machines become more productive, accelerates decision-making, and advances operational capabilities where speed, trust, and scale matter.
At Torch.AI, we are always interested in hearing from exceptional people, even when we do not have the perfect role posted. If you are a builder, problem-solver, technologist, operator, mission expert, strategist, or leader who believes you can help advance our work, we want to hear from you.
This general application is an opportunity to tell us where your strengths, experience, and ambition could make an impact. Share your resume, contact information, and a short note or cover letter describing your background, highest accomplishments, and the kind of work that energizes you. If there is a fit today or in the future, our team may reach out to explore where your talents could help Torch.AI continue to grow.
Torch.AI looks for people who thrive at the intersection of advanced technology, complex data, and high-impact mission work. Our teams include software engineers, data engineers, AI and machine learning practitioners, product leaders, solutions architects, DevOps and infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity-minded technologists, program leaders, customer-facing technical experts, and operational specialists.
We are especially interested in candidates who can work across ambiguity, move quickly, and create practical solutions for difficult problems. The strongest candidates bring a combination of technical depth, mission awareness, intellectual curiosity, and execution discipline. They are comfortable working with cross-functional teams, engaging with customers, learning complex environments, and turning requirements into reliable, scalable outcomes.
Depending on the role, relevant experience may include data engineering, software development, AI and machine learning, data pipelines, distributed systems, cloud or hybrid infrastructure, APIs, ETL, automation, security, identity and access management, DevOps, analytics, product development, program delivery, and work with government or defense customers.
For roles supporting national security customers, active security clearances or eligibility to obtain a clearance may be required or preferred. Across all teams, we value people who are mission-driven, collaborative, detail-oriented, creative, accountable, and motivated by the opportunity to build technology that matters.
