Working at our Cincinnati Aviation Component Service Center:

Our ACSC facility develops and conducts a wide array of engine component repairs – including rotating parts, complex assemblies and nozzles on 29 different engine models.

Role Overview:

Will perform incoming, in process and final visual and dimensional inspection duties across all areas of the Service Shop in accordance with FAA manuals and regulations. Perform functional tests on aircraft components, plate layout on incoming materials as necessary, and generate release to service certifications as required for any components. Will verify test setups and perform all types of parts and processes verifications, using necessary inspection techniques and equipment. Will maintain necessary and pertinent records and perform related duties. Direct, train, or instruct others as required. Map work scope and complete data sheets related to components. Will quote applicable repairs as required.  Point of contact for all quality concerns.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2 years’ experience handling aircraft hardware
  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using special gauges, (ex: Genspec, optical comparator, articulating arm CMMs)
  • Experience with open setup and CMM inspection.
  • Experience working from shop engine manuals, service bulletins and airworthiness directives.
  • Demonstrate the use of basic precision measuring instruments including micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Experience in disposition and quoting parts.
  • Experience operating various hand and power tools, and basic machining and equipment.
  • Three or more years of experience in inspection of aircraft hardware.
  • Ability to obtain FAA Repairman’s License and experience with 8130 systems.
  • Proficient in the use of shop math as necessary, including fractions, and decimals.
  • Knowledge of machine shop blueprints and engineering sketches.
  • Experience performing and troubleshooting minor inspection equipment calibrations.

Additional Information:

  • Wages $33.85 per hour plus 10% differential for 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Ability to pass Inspector written and functional test
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds on occasion. Items more than 40 pounds will be lifted with assistance.
  • Role requires ability to operate material handling and lifting devices.
  • Role requires basic use of computers, applications, and keyboarding (e.g. email, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment and wear appropriate safety gear such as eye protection and safety shoes for extended periods of time
