Under direct supervision, assists physicians with patient care duties.  Maintains efficient patient flow, assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures, and patient education.  Performs miscellaneous clinic support tasks, including filing, answering phones, and maintaining physicians' schedules.   - Properly identify and prepare the patient and explain procedures. Maintains patient privacy during testing.  - Electronically submits prescriptions, obtains pre-authorization for medications and makes other patient calls as directed by physician. - Triage phone calls from patients/families and other healthcare providers and collaborates with physician/provider regarding plan of care.
