Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead parent-child interactive classes on topics such as infant playgroups, art, music, early math and science, and other social-emotional & school readiness classes for children ages 0-5 years.
- Guide parents in learning developmentally appropriate activities that support their child’s growth, fostering parent-child bonding and communication.
- Share information on developmental milestones and how to support their child’s progress at various stages of early development.
- Provide tools and strategies for parents to continue engaging their children in learning activities outside of the Center, promoting ongoing development at home.
- Facilitate parent education activities that cover topics such as parenting strategies, child development, ways to support their child's learning, and community building.
- Conduct developmental screenings to assess the progress of children and identify areas where additional support may be needed.
- Ensure accurate data entry for developmental screenings, class participation, and other relevant program information into the database.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve programs, ensuring that they are inclusive, supportive, and culturally responsive to the diverse needs of families.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of experience in early childhood education or a related field, or an Associate/Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, human services, or a similar discipline.
- Experience working with children ages 0-5 and their families, with a focus on early childhood education or a related field.
- Knowledge of child development and developmental milestones, with the ability to communicate this information effectively to parents.
- Strong relationship-building skills to connect with colleagues, parents and children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage class schedules, developmental screenings, and data entry responsibilities.
- Cultural competence and humility, with a passion for working with families from diverse communities, including English language learners.
- Physical ability to move tables, chairs, and children's equipment

- Reflective and empathetic, with the ability to foster a positive and supportive environment for both parents and children.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues.

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
