As a Youth Security Supervisor, you will,
• Supervise a shift of Youth Program Specialists that provide security and maintain control of youth located at our facility.
• Ensure expectations of treatment and programming are followed.
• Serve as first responder to emergency situations throughout the facility.
• Ensure consistency is followed throughout the facility, including scheduling (for staff and youth), and basic facility expectations.
• Conduct investigations that reveal information on incidents that have potential to be a security risk to the facility.
• Must be able to adapt to unfolding situations and make decisions that provide the best safe outcome for all involved.
• Using Handle with Care principles, leads and assists in emergency/crisis situations and notifies appropriate personnel and outside agencies; ensures/maintains a safe, secure and therapeutic

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience in: social work, criminal justice, counseling and guidance, human development and the family, psychology, behavioral health care, education, social/behavioral sciences, nursing/patient care, delinquency prevention or related area. Experience leading, coordinating, directing, monitoring and/or supervising others. Must be age 21 to work with youth located at YRTC.
Preferred Qualifications: 1 year experience with crisis management, adolescent development, and/or verbal de-escalation.
Other: Valid driver’s license
