As a developer of IP video surveillance solutions, IPConfigure offers a variety of products that leverage a browser based interface while supporting both Windows and Linux architectures. The platform is capable of seamlessly supporting unlimited cameras, locations, and users in centralized, distributed, or hosted environments. IPConfigure’s Orchid VMS platform and SteelFin Appliances have been successfully deployed in facilities ranging from quick service restaurants to international ports, hospitals, and universities.


Job Summary

IPConfigure, Inc. is searching for a Sales Solution Architect that merges technical expertise with sales acumen. You will support the sales team in developing and delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposal development. Your knowledge of video surveillance systems and ability to understand customer needs will drive successful sales engagements and help position IPConfigure as a trusted industry leader.

This is a remote position. Candidates must be able to travel for customer meetings, presentations, industry events, and visits to IPConfigure headquarters in Norfolk, VA as needed.


Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team in identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to potential customers
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment of product capabilities with customer requirements
• Provide ongoing support and training to customers during the onboarding process
• Provide support in the development and delivery of proposals, RFPs, and RFIs
• Assist in the design and implementation of customer solutions
• Act as a liaison between the sales team and engineering department for technical questions
• Gather feedback from customers to assist in product development and improvement
• Travel to customer sites for meetings, presentations, and solution deployments as needed


Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong technical aptitude with a focus on video surveillance systems and IT networking
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Analytical problem solving skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non technical audiences
• Experience working with sales teams and managing customer relationships
• Ability to travel for customer meetings and presentations


Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical sales role
• Prior experience within the video surveillance industry required, including experience with VMS platforms, video surveillance manufacturers, physical security software providers, or traditional security integrators
