NFP Salary Packaging
Your role will be:
To support our participants increase their capacity with their everyday activities such as cooking, cleaning and personal care
To help prevent social isolation and encourage participation in activities.
Developing activities for participants when they are unable to access the community to stimulate and promote engagement.
Encourage engagement in activities within the framework of respect of the needs of the participant and promotion of personal choice
In consultation with the participant’s Support Coordinator develop community access support plans
We are looking for candidates who have:
A commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army
Minimum Certificate III in Disability/Mental Health or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 2 years experience supporting people with disabilities
Self motivated, high level of initiative and strong work ethic
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact positively with a variety of people
Sound administration and computer skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
Ability to operate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Team player, flexible with a positive attitude
Effective problem solving skills, evaluation and conflict resolution skills
A current Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle
A current First Aid Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check is required
NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission Training – Worker Orientation Module
