Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Academic Advising Center. The student worker will provide excellent customer service support to Nevada State students while also serving as the first point-of-contact for all inquiries, scheduling, and phone calls to the Academic Advising Center.

Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for students and visitors at the front desk.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and directing students to appropriate resources.
- Assist with scheduling advising appointments.
- Monitor and manage student check in systems and walk - in advising queues.
- Support advisors and administrative assistant tasks and office projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
Previous customer service, receptionist, or front desk experience.
Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada does not sponsor employment-related visas)

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable answering phones, greeting visitors, and assisting students in a professional manner.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentially and handle sensitive student information.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
Work Hours:
This position will work up to 19.5 per week.
Hourly Rate:
$12.00 per hour.
