Job Description
- Own the thermodynamic design and configuration of Combined Cycle Power Plants and heavy CHP installations.
- Direct the mechanical layout, material selection, and advanced stress analysis (via CAESAR II) for high-energy piping systems, including main steam, hot/cold reheat, and boiler feedwater networks.
- Serve as the final technical reviewer for massive utility systems, including large-scale chilled water plants (up to 85,000+ tons), open/closed-loop cooling towers, deaerators, and fuel conditioning skids.
- Engineer the mechanical and fuel-delivery systems required for plant isolation, dead-bus closing, and black start recovery, ensuring prime movers handle rapid load steps and thermal shock during grid restoration.
- Optimize heat rates, mass-energy balances, and transient performance of heavy-duty gas turbines, steam turbines, and Heat Recovery Steam Generators.
