As a student in an approved registered nurse or practical nurse school of nursing, the Earn as You Learn Tech participates in clinical course work under the direction of an RN. The Earn as You Learn Tech assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient’s highest level of wellness working cooperatively with others as part of the healthcare team and performs designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks within the scope of the designated nursing school program. This position is specifically designated for individuals enrolled in an accredited nursing program seeking clinical experience as part of their education curriculum. It is important to note that this role is not a paid or employed position with Mercy. Instead, it is a learning opportunity aimed at fulfilling educational requirements and gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. The Earn as You Learn Tech's participation in this program is voluntary and solely for educational purposes. The Earn as You Learn Tech will work under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals to enhance their clinical skills, develop critical thinking abilities, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-life patient care scenarios.Position Details:

✅ Eligibility & Commitment
To participate, students must:
Be in their final semester of an accredited LPN or RN program (December 2026 grad)
Complete their senior practicum at Mercy Hospital South-
Please arrange to request a unit through your school at Mercy South for your placement.
Accept a bedside nursing role at Mercy South (minimum 6-month commitment). You will need to start applying to Graduate Nurse opportunities ASAP.
*It is strongly encouraged that this position is on the unit where the practicum was completed
