Manager, Brand & Talent Marketing
Job Description
Develops, implements, and manages marketing communications to help achieve business goals, regulatory compliance, and to support individual business unit needs. Contributes to overall success of the Marketing team with strategic thinking, content creation, and project management. Maintains strong relationships internally and externally including outside vendors and agency partners. Leads projects independently as needed, and partners with senior leadership and other colleagues when appropriate. Works under general direction.

What You Will Do:
- Develops strategies, creates marketing plans, implements tactics, and analyzes results for specified business unit goals or initiatives as appropriate.
- Manages the development and updating of B2C and B2B marketing and communication assets, such as advertising, collateral, website content, direct marketing, e-mails, presentation decks, newsletters, required member materials (CHOICE) and letters. This includes writing marketing briefs (as appropriate), overseeing copy development and design, reviewing with key stakeholders and legal, and measuring and analyzing results, where applicable.
- Participates in paid media planning and provides tactical input for assigned areas.
- Oversees production of advertising, content and collateral for assigned areas, including the management of timelines and budgets.
- Acts as “operational center” for assigned areas, providing support as needed, such as meeting preparation (setting agendas, organizing materials) and finance-related aspects (reviewing scopes of work, opening purchase orders, managing budgets, invoicing).
- Manages day-to-day relationships with external marketing vendors, including printers, promotional suppliers, freelancers, creative and media agencies.
- Prepares and disseminates regular competitive reports, including intel on competitor advertising, website, social media, collateral.
- Maintains up-to-date understanding of the health care industry including key customers and competitor organizations. Keeps informed about significant regulatory changes impacting VNS Health business operations or financial position.
For VNS Health only
- Serves as marketing liaison to Business Development team. Prepares and shares marketing updates.
For VNS Health Plans Marketing only
- Works closely with VNS Health Plans Market Development and Community Outreach teams to support community-based marketing and sales needs.
- Works with VNS Health Plans digital/social media manager on the integrated development of new content and campaigns to support business needs.
For VNS Health Plan Member Communications only
- Manages the creation, review, and production of required materials, member notices and other communications. Ensures these documents are developed accurately and released timely in accordance with CMS and/or DOH guidelines. This includes coordinating the production of all letters with TPA, vendors and/or other VNS Health Plans business areas.
- Acts as “operational center” for member mailings and other communications as appropriate. Oversees production of mailings, ad hoc and required to ensure accurate and timely execution. This includes the management of timelines and budgets.
- Develops annual budget for area of responsibility. Reviews estimates and ensures projects are produced cost effectively and within budget.
- Designs and implements marketing plans for acquisition and/or retention (as appropriate) targeted to specific consumer segments; works on projects directly and in collaboration with agency partners.
- Performs all duties within CMS/DOH guidelines, following rules and regulations and stays current on all new marketing policies.
For Brand and Talent Marketing only
- Leads the development and execution of employer brand and talent marketing strategies in partnership with Talent Acquisition to support workforce growth and hiring priorities.
- Develops and manages recruitment marketing campaigns across digital, social, and paid media channels, including audience targeting, channel strategy and performance optimization.
- Develops recruitment marketing collateral and assets to support Talent Acquisition outreach, including career fairs, hiring events, and community engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand standards and target audience needs.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition to align marketing efforts with hiring priorities and support optimization of the candidate funnel performance, including tracking, analysis and reporting on application volume, quality, and conversion rates.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition and Enterprise Communications to develop and optimize employer brand content across careers site, job descriptions, social media, and external employer platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed).
- Ensures consistency and alignment between employer brand and VNS Health’s enterprise brand across all candidate touchpoints.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in communication, marketing or business required MBA/Masters in Marketing/Advertising preferred
Work Experience:
Minimum of five years’ experience in direct marketing, brand marketing, advertising, communications, promotions or other relevant experience, preferably in some aspect of health care required
Experience in developing and managing successful marketing campaigns required
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and strong project management skills required
Knowledge of brand marketing (consumer & trade), advertising, social media, web content or other channels. required
Intermediate to advanced capabilities using PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat. required
Experience marketing to health care professionals and/or health care payers (health plans) preferred

Pay Range
USD $98,200.00 - USD $130,800.00 /Yr.
