Engagement Manager – Aviation Strategy & Operations (Airlines & MRO)
Job Description
Join one of the world’s leading specialist aviation consulting teams, delivering CEO-level strategic advisory and transformation programmes for leading airlines, MROs and investors across India, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
In this role you will have the opportunity to act as the day-to-day project manager on some of our most challenging yet rewarding projects as we help our Airline & MRO clients identify and deliver complex operational improvement strategies. These projects are global in nature and can cover a wide range of topics related to an airline or MRO’s strategic direction, performance transformation, MRO network optimisation, digital and AI-enabled operations, and investor-led due diligence and transaction support.
As part of this role, you will be expected to:
Manage large scale operational and strategic Airline & MRO consulting projects, actively managing the client relationship, and identifying and delivering solutions to problems using a variety of analytical techniques;
Play a key role in shaping client engagements, contributing to proposals, and developing long-term client relationships, with increasing ownership of revenue growth. This will require representing ICF at client meetings, attending and presenting at conferences, and contributing to ICF’s thought leadership;
Actively contribute to the leadership and management of our Delhi Aviation team, including taking on direct Line Management responsibilities, supporting growth initiatives, coordinating with our global leadership team and supporting an inclusive team culture;
Work closely with clients across India, the Middle East and APAC, with opportunities for international exposure and cross-border project experience.

Basic Qualifications:
Degree educated from a reputable institution.
Minimum 7+ years of work experience in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent strategic role within aviation organisations with a focus on airline operations & MRO.
Established and relevant network within the India, APAC or Middle East aviation markets.
Ability and willingness for extensive international travel, with projects often requiring extensive onsite presence outside of India.
Professional Skills:
Strong structured problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex challenges into actionable insights;
Demonstratable experience managing projects or initiatives, taking ownership of workstreams and proactively shaping analyses, structuring workflows and driving delivery;
Strong written and communication skills, with experience presenting work to Clients or senior management, as well as organising written work in a manner that is clear, insightful, and tailored for the intended audience
People management experience, either via direct reports or oversight on a project basis;
Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams spread across different countries and time zones to achieve established goals;

Identifies opportunities and manages from business development to project inception;
